REAL PIRATE TREASURE CHARTS

WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE
DEVOTED TO CAPTAIN WILLIAM KIDD
AND IN PARTICULAR HIS TREASURE CHARTS. ENTER THE WORLD OF
REAL BURIED TREASURE CHARTS AND TREASURE YET TO BE FOUND.
About 10 years before
the outbreak of WW11, the first of four 17th century charts were
found in a
bureau that once belonged to Captain William Kidd. Three others
were found over the next 5
years in various items of Kidd's furniture by Guy and Hubert
Palmer, who lived in Eastbourne
GB. They were wealthy bachelors with a deep interest in pirate
relics and maritime history. Their
museum was probably unique and without rival in the world. Hubert
Palmer was a recognised
authority on piracy and was very careful to accept into his
collection only those items that had
passed his rigorous tests to prove genuineness. Subsequent
scientific testing by experts on the
charts confirmed that the ink and parchment were of 17th century
origin.

KIDDS's BUREAU
The first chart was found inside a brass tube hidden in one of the supporting runners.
The three charts (The first two found
were more or less identical) all contain different and varying
amounts of information but all without doubt depict the same
island. They show the way to at
least two treasure sites-- if you can solve the clues and
interpret the information on them.
Many people have claimed to have solved the charts over the years
and mounted expeditions to
find the treasure. All failed, because they hadn't really solved
the charts at all but relied on some
serious guesswork and finding an island whose shape looked about
right!

A lot of people claim the charts are a hoax and anyway
Kidd's treasure was mostly accounted for
and well publicised. That is true of his infamous ill-fated last
voyage when he was declared a
pirate and the bulk of his treasure was that looted from the
'Quedah Merchant'. Most of that
treasure was recovered and the episode is well documented. Our
charts however relate to treasure
taken earlier on in Kidd's career but unfortunately we know
nothing of his whereabouts and
travels when he was a younger man.
The charts are very difficult to interpret and understand. They
are full of probabilities and
unprobabilities, what seems straightforward, on investigation is
soon seen to be impossible.
However, during the years of research for my book I would have a
go at cracking them ( The book
is the story of the charts and Kidd, not the solution of the
charts). I realised however that a fitting
end to the book would be to solve the charts if I could. Well
after 15 years I finally did. The first
person in the world to do so. I know the location of at least two
treasure sites on the island. The
solution is in my book 'KIDD the search for his treasure',
published in 1996. The book is the
complete and definitive work on Kidd and the charts, everything
you need to know is there--
including photographic copies of the charts and other material
never published before.
So, if I've solved the charts, have I dug up the treasure? you
rightly ask. No, not yet and the
reason is this; I am very confident as to the location of at
least two treasure sites but I was never as
confident as to where the island location is. Although I had some
theories and good ideas, that
particular secret eluded me. I couldn't spend forever on the
problem, the book had to be
published and that was the state of affairs then, in 1996.
A lot has happened since then. The charts are definitely not a
hoax. The island exists, I've been
there! Arial photography has confirmed the shape of the island
and the topography is almost
exactly the same today as when the charts were drawn over 300
years ago. Whoever constructed
the charts and clues was very clever. Knowing exactly where the
island is, I can now see how and
why things that didn't make sense to me are necessary and now
make a lot of sense and, the
charts have to be used together.
We hope to eventually embark on a professional treasure hunt, if
and when we can do a deal with
the government involved. Negotiations are slow and have been
going on for 2 years now. It is
promising as they haven't told us to get lost yet!
If you want to have a go at the mystery
yourself, get a copy of the book. All the information is
there. There is no reason why you can't beat me to it!
